Intel Xeon L5408 vs AMD Opteron 2419 EE

The AMD Opteron 2419 EE is newer than Intel Xeon L5408 @ 2.13GHz and is around 8% faster in multi-threaded (CPU Mark) testing. However, it is significantly slower in single-thread testing. Also, AMD Opteron 2419 EE uses around 40% more power. All the CPUs in this comparison belong in the Server CPU Class.
